One of my very first films is showing in ‘Feminist Form’, a screening of work by Reel Grrls mentors organized by Stranger genius Wynne Greenwood! My film is called ‘Untitled (QAR)’ and this screening is its Seattle premiere! It’s a white on black cut-out piece, and is called ‘QAR’ because it was made on a quick action recorder, an old pencil test machine from the 70s and 80s. It’s about 3:30 minutes long, about a relationship between two women and a meal. Below are the event details. The event is Saturday, January 23rd!
Hope to see you there!

Reel Grrls is the first all girl, year-round media program in the country. Since 2001, Reel Grrls has provided digital media training to more than 650 teenage girls in the Puget Sound region. The programs are mentored by local women film, video and mediamakers. Reel Grrls mentors come from impressive backgrounds in film, video, art, and youth development, and they use their skills and experience to support the Reel Grrls participants as they tell their own stories through video. The screening includes work by Tess Martin, Jill Freidberg, Katherine Leggett, Nickey Robare, Wynne Greenwood, Maile Martinez and Lane Stroud. It is curated by Maile Martinez, Program Manager for Reel Grrls.
FeministForm is a screening series of feminist and queer media from the Pacific Northwest.
