Earlier this year, in March, my short The Whale Story won Best Short Film at the San Francisco International Ocean Film Festival. The film has now been chosen to participate in the festival’s traveling program, and its first screening will be at the Thunder Bay International Film Festival in Alpena, Michigan, hosted by the Thunder Bay National Marine Sanctuary.
“Located in northwestern Lake Huron, Thunder Bay National Marine Sanctuary protects a nationally significant collection of historic shipwrecks. Through resource protection, research, and education, the sanctuary works to ensure that future generations will continue to value their irreplaceable underwater treasures.”
This festival will take place January 21 to 25, 2015. Happy that The Whale Story is included, and I’m looking forward to future SFIOFF traveling screenings!
