So happy to announce that my newest short film, The Lost Mariner, will have its World Premiere at the PrimAnima festival in Hungary in the competition category of ‘Graduation Films’.

PrimAnima: World Festival of First Animations is a festival dedicated to graduation films, student films, or first professional films. It is held outside Budapest at the end of October. I learned of this festival when I was in Budapest this past March presenting the Strange Creatures program at MOME. This year’s edition takes place Oct 28-Nov 1, and my short screens in the ‘Competition 2’ program, on October 29th and again on October 30th. Sadly I cannot attend, because I will be at DOK Leipzig with two other shorts. Would have loved to return to Hungary!

The festival has had awesome line ups in the past. Last year they showed Alexandra Hetmerov√°‘s latest Mythopolis (I showed her short Swimming Pool in Prague in March), and one my absolute favorite films ever, An Incredibly Elastic Man, by Karolina Specht. You can see an excerpt of it here. So proud that my graduation short will have its World Premiere at this festival!
