Breda on My Mind test time lapse from Tess Martin on Vimeo.

This is a test time lapse in preparation for the Breda on My Mind shoot on Dec 11, 2013 in Breda, The Netherlands. People will be invited to draw a giant map of the city from memory. In this practice session I am finding a good way to attach the GoPro camera to the balcony in the St Joost atrium space, and seeing how big the drawing can be, and therefore how fat the markers must be to show up well on the paper. Something I learned: I need fatter markers.
The 4000×3000 timelapse was then edited in AfterEffects to add zooms, something I hope to do with the final footage as well.

If you’re in Breda or better yet, in the St Joost building, please come on Dec 11th! Here is the Facebook event.

First attempt at GoPro set up. Notice elegant duct tape. Unfortunately the camera's wide angle was picking up too much of the side of the balcony.

An even less elegant but more successful solution. Now the camera picks up more of the floor, less of the balcony.
